Who we are

EA Flight Deals is an independent flight-deal service for travellers in East Africa. It is not an airline, a travel agency or a booking site: it publishes fare drops it finds and links you to the provider that sells the ticket. You can reach us at [email protected], which is also the address that handles every request described below.

What we collect

If you only browse the site

Nothing that identifies you. This site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and carries no analytics, advertising or social tracking scripts. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard server request data such as IP address in order to serve and protect the site; that is ordinary infrastructure logging, and we do not build profiles from it.

If you tap one of our booking links

Our deal links pass through eaflightdeals.com/go/ before reaching the booking site. Since 11 September 2026 we count those taps, so we can tell whether a deal was useful and which channel it came from. For each tap we record only: which link, which channel (WhatsApp, the website or the QR code on a deal card), the time, the country Cloudflare reports, and a coarse device type (Android, iPhone or computer). We do not record your IP address, your full browser details, a cookie or any identifier, so a tap cannot be traced back to you. If a deal has since gone up in price or disappeared, the link tells you so instead of sending you to a fare that no longer exists.

If you request personal email alerts

When you fill in the alerts form, the website sends your request to our sign-up service (run on Cloudflare) and we email you a confirmation link. Nothing is activated until you click it, so nobody can subscribe an address that is not theirs. Unconfirmed requests expire after seven days. We record:

We do not ask for and do not store your name, phone number, date of birth, passport details, address or any payment information. We never request payment details, and we will never email you asking for them.

If you suggest a route to track

Route suggestions also arrive by email. We use the route itself; your address is used only to reply if a reply is needed.

Why we are allowed to hold it

Because you asked us to. Ticking the box and clicking the confirmation link is your consent, and that consent is the entire basis on which we hold your details. Withdraw it and the basis disappears — see below.

Who else sees it

We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. It is handled by a small number of providers who process it strictly to run the service:

Because these providers operate internationally, your email may be stored on servers outside your country. We may also disclose information where the law genuinely requires it.

Booking links are a different matter

When you tap Check fare, you leave this site for a booking partner. We earn a commission if you book — see our fare and affiliate disclosure. Those partners are separate companies with their own privacy policies and their own tracking, and once you arrive there you are covered by their terms, not ours. We do not receive your booking details, your passenger information or your payment details from them.

How long we keep it

Your preferences are kept while your alerts are active. If you send STOP, alerts stop immediately. If you ask us to delete your record, we delete it.

Your choices

Every one of these goes to [email protected]. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a national data protection authority.

Children

This service is meant for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has subscribed, email us and we will remove the record.

Security, honestly stated

Subscriber details are held on a private server that is not open to the public internet, and the site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, which is one reason we deliberately keep so little: the worst case is limited by the fact that an email address and a preferred route is all there is to lose.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the service handles your information — in particular if alert signup ever moves from email to a form that submits directly to a server — we will update this page and change the date at the top before that switch is made.
